Question: HOW CAN MEMORIAL HERMANN MEDICAL MISSIONS OFFER ME FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR MY MEDICAL MISSION TRIP?
Answer: Scholarships are exclusively for air fare expenses. Expenses for meals, lodging, ground transportation, etc., are not included in scholarships. Limited amounts are offered for scholarships for domestic flights, which include North and Central America countries, and for international flights, which include the remainder of the world.
Question: WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR SCHOLARSHIPS OFFERED BY MEMORIAL HERMANN MEDICAL MISSIONS?
Answer: Memorial Hermann Medical Missions offers scholarships for employees of Memorial Hermann Healthcare System, employees of Memorial Hermann Healthcare System medical staff members and medical staff residents; e.g., Family Practice and Anesthesiology residents.
Question: HOW OFTEN MAY I REQUEST A SCHOLARSHIP FROM MEMORIAL HERMANN MEDICAL MISSIONS?
Answer: Twice during a calendar year.
Question: DOES MEMORIAL HERMANN MEDICAL MISSIONS OFFER PHARMACEUTICALS AND/OR SUPPLIES FOR MEDICAL MISSION TRIPS?
Answer: Memorial Hermann Medical Missions offers donations for the purchase of supplies and/or pharmaceuticals for physicians on the medical staff of Memorial Hermann Healthcare System who are participating on medical mission trips.
Question: DOES MEMORIAL HERMANN MEDICAL MISSIONS LEAD MEDICAL MISSION TRIPS?
Answer: While Memorial Hermann Medical Missions does not lead medical mission trips, it is supportive of organizations that do by supporting MHHCS employees and physicians who participate with them in the aforementioned ways.

Answer: Visit the Web site of any of the various organizations that have been assisted by Memorial Hermann Medical Missions. A partial list includes the following:

Question: DOES MEMORIAL HERMANN MEDICAL MISSIONS SUPPORT OUR LOCAL COMMUNITY?
Answer: Memorial Hermann Medical Missions donates funds to organizations that assist our community in time of need such as the American Red Cross and the Houston Coalition for the Homeless Blanket Drive in conjunction with the Houston Aeros and others.
Question: WHAT VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES ARE AVAILABLE THROUGH MH MEDICAL MISSIONS?
Answer: Organizations such as Project Cure, Medical Bridges and others are in need of volunteers to work in their locations in Houston. You can assist with unpacking, packing, inventory, phone calls, etc.

Question: HOW MAY I SUPPORT THE MEMORIAL HERMANN MEDICAL MISSIONS ANNUAL GOLF TOURNAMENT?
Answer: The Memorial Hermann Medical Missions annual golf tournament is its sole fundraiser. Funds raised from the tournament are applied toward scholarships, supplies/pharmaceuticals and donations to approved organizations. You may sponsor golf teams at many levels ranging from a foursome to tournament sponsorship. Sponsorship is also available for beverage carts, lunch, dinner, shirts, golf balls, raffle prizes, signs and banners.
