Erin AsprecMemorial Hermann Health System is proud to announce that Erin Asprec, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, has been named one of Modern Healthcare's “Top Women Leaders in Healthcare.”

This annual program honors women executives across all sectors of the health care industry for their contributions to care delivery improvement, health equity and policy advancement. Asprec's selection by the editors of Modern Healthcare acknowledged her dedication to developing strategic initiatives to improve patient outcomes, lower the cost of health care service delivery and promote equitable access to organizational opportunities for all employees.

"I am deeply honored to be recognized together with such accomplished women leaders in health care across the nation,” said Asprec. “I am fortunate to work with a team dedicated to driving health care innovation, delivering safe and high-quality care to our patients and creating a workplace where all are valued and welcomed," said Asprec.

David L. Callender, MD, President and CEO of Memorial Hermann, said, "Erin is an outstanding model of a mission-driven leader who possesses a clear vision for health care system transformation and an unwavering commitment to clinical excellence. Erin is building a legacy of leadership and service, and we are proud to see her recognized among the nation's top health care leaders."

During her 21-year tenure at Memorial Hermann, Asprec has held key operation and leadership roles — most recently as Chief Transformation Officer, leading ongoing transformation efforts saving the System more than $1 billion over a six-year period.

Asprec is the founding executive sponsor of "Women Leaders of Memorial Hermann", a program that invests in the enhancement and cultivation of women in the organization’s leadership positions by empowering them to reach their personal and professional best through opportunities across four pillars: inspiration, mentorship, networking and community service.

Among other honors, Asprec has been recognized by the Houston Business Journal as one of Houston's "Women Who Mean Business" and selected among the "Most Powerful and Influential Women in Texas" by the National Diversity Council. She is a member of the Executive Committee and Board of Directors of the Texas Hospital Association and served as its 2023 chair.
