1904

Reverend Dennis PevotoBaptist leaders campaign to establish a Baptist hospital in Houston. Reverend Dennis Pevoto reportedly confers with George H. Hermann, who had an interest in creating a charity hospital.
     

1907

Rudisell SanitariumBaptist leaders purchase Rudisell Sanitarium and its equipment for $1,000 cash and $17,000 debt. Rev. Pevoto becomes superintendent of new Baptist Sanitarium and Mrs. Rudisell continues as superintendent of nurses. Training school for nurses, the first chartered school of nursing in Houston, opens immediately.
      

1909

First Nursing Grad Class 1909 Baptist Sanitarium's first nursing class of seven women graduates.
