Multidisciplinary Team

Symptom management specialists work as part of a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care based on an individual's specific needs. The team of experts may include oncologists, surgeons, nurses and pharmacists, in addition to specially trained support staff.

Symptom management needs are addressed upon a patient's arrival at the Cancer Center. After, the patient is referred to symptom management physicians for specialized care to improve tolerance of therapy and increase comfort during treatment.
