Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center
The Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center Department of Pharmacy offers a comprehensive residency program including PGY1 Pharmacy and PGY2 Critical Care residencies.
Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center, a 769-bed tertiary care teaching hospital founded in 1925 as the first hospital in the Texas Medical Center, is part of 12-hospital Memorial Hermann system, one of the largest not-for-profit systems in the nation.
Within the Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center campus are Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital and Memorial Hermann Heart and Vascular Institute-Texas Medical Center. Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital is a 178-bed facility providing comprehensive services to a Level III Neonatal Unit and diverse pediatric populations. Memorial Hermann Heart & Vascular Institute-TMC is a 147-bed facility featuring a continuum of heart and vascular care including a chest pain center, cardiology, cardiothoracic and vascular surgery and cardiac rehabilitation.
Clinical specialists maintain active practices in surgical/trauma, neurosciences, cardiology/cardiovascular surgery, internal medical, transplant, neonatal, and pediatric critical care environments as well as internal medicine and general surgery.
Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center serves as the primary teaching site for The University of Texas Medical School at Houston. The Department of Pharmacy also maintains relationships with the University of Houston College of Pharmacy, Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Pharmacy, and Texas Southern University College of Pharmacy.
