The PGY2 Critical Care Residency at Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center develops advanced skills and competencies that will produce competent and confident practitioners of pharmaceutical care in the critical care specialty.

Upon completion of this residency, pharmacists will be able to skillfully educate other pharmacy and critical care practitioners. They will be able to optimize therapeutic outcome by functioning as an integral member of a critical care practice.

The PGY2 Critical Care Residency is an ASHP-accredited one-year program with a curriculum designed to expose the resident to all facets of critical care management in an institutional setting.

The facility is designated a Level I Trauma Center and provides extended care through the Life Flight Medical Air Transport System. Comprehensive critical care services are available to patients, including: surgical/trauma, cardiovascular, coronary, neurosciences, medical intensive care, transplant critical care, burn, pediatric and neonatal intensive care.

The Emergency Center also serves as a site for acute patient care. Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center provides care in medical/surgical general and specialty areas for both adult and pediatric patients.
