Joyce A. Tipton, RPh, MBA, FASHP

Director of Pharmacy and Respiratory Care

Ms. Tipton received her BS Pharmacy degree from the University of Houston College of Pharmacy (UHCOP) and a Masters of Business Administration from Wake Forest University.  She is currently serving a six-year governor’s appointment on the Texas State Board of Pharmacy.  Ms. Tipton is a Fellow of ASHP, Adjunct Professor at the UHCOP, and serves on the Dean’s Advisory Council. 

Ms. Tipton’s career path included leadership positions at St. Luke’s Episcopal Hospital, Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center (WFBMC), and M. D. Anderson Cancer Center.  She also has experience in home infusion, school-based clinic, community pharmacy, and physician practice operations.  Ms. Tipton implemented one of the country’s earliest Emergency Department pharmacy services in 1995 at WFBMC and developed the St. Luke’s Center for Antimicrobial Stewardship and Epidemiology. 

Ms. Tipton has a special interest in the impact of strategic operational planning and systematic quality improvement application in the medication use process.

Dr. Adkison earned her PharmD degree from the University of Houston.  She completed a PGY1 Pharmacy Residency with the Memorial Hermann Healthcare System and the University of Houston.  She has been on the faculty of the Memorial Family Medicine Residency Program since 2002.


Terence Chau, PharmD, BCPS

Preceptor of Emergency Medicine at Memorial City Medical Center Dr. Chau received his Pharm.D. degree from Purdue University. He completed a PGY1 Pharmacy Residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan, and a PGY2 Critical Care Residency at Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center in Houston, Texas. He joined the clinical pharmacy staff at Memorial Hermann - Memorial City Medical Center in 2011.


Rodney Cox, RPh, MS

Residency Coordinator for the Administration Residency Rodney is a graduate of Texas Southern University College of Pharmacy, class of 1999. He is the first graduate of Memorial Hermann's PGY1/PGY2 Health-System Pharmacy Administration Residency completed in the spring of 2011.


Sapana Desai, PharmD, BCPS

Dr. Desai received her PharmD degree from The University of Texas at Austin. She completed a PGY1 Pharmacy Residency and a PGY2 Critical Care Residency at Houston Methodist Hospital. She joined the clinical pharmacy staff at Memorial Hermann-Memorial City Hospital in 2011.

David Guervil, PharmD

Dr. Guervil received his Pharm.D. degree from Florida A&M University. He completed a PGY1 Pharmacy Residency and a PGY2 Infectious Diseases Residency at Shands at the University of Florida. He joined the clinical pharmacy staff at Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center in 2011.


Peter Le, B.S. Pharm., MBA

Mr. Le received his Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Houston and MBA from Texas A&M University- College Station. He joined Memorial Hermann Northwest in 2005.


Jim Maddock, RPh, MPA

Mr. Maddock received his BS Pharmacy degree from Long Island University, Brooklyn College of Pharmacy and his MPA degree from SUNY Brockport. He completed his ASHP Pharmacy Practice Residency at The Moses H Cone Memorial Hospital. He has been in his current position since 1998


Chi Peyton, Pharm.D.

Dr. Peyton received her B.S. and Pharm.D. degrees from The University of South Carolina. She completed a Pharmacy Practice Residency at West Virginia University Hospital and a Pediatrics specialty residency at Texas Children’s Hospital. Dr. Peyton joined the clinical pharmacy staff at Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital in 2000.


Patti Romeril, PharmD

Dr. Romeril received her Pharm.D. degree from the University of Houston, College of Pharmacy. She completed a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at Hermann Hospital (now named Memorial Hermann, Texas Medical Center). She served as a clinical pharmacist at Memorial Hermann, Memorial City hospital for 8 years before being named the Memorial Hermann System Clinical Pharmacy Coordinator. In 2010, she was promoted to her current role as the MH System Director of Clinical Pharmacy Services.


Beth Willis, PharmD

Dr. Willis received her Pharm.D. from the University of Louisiana – Monroe. She completed a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency at Methodist Dallas Medical Center. She joined the clinical pharmacy staff at Memorial Hermann Memorial City Medical Center in 2007.


Lourdes Cuellar, MS, RPh, FASHP

Lourdes Cuellar received both her B.Sc. Pharm and M.S. in Pharmacy Administration from the University of Houston. She is a past-president of the Texas Society of Health-System Pharmacists, the Gulf Coast Society of Health-System Pharmacists and past-president and chair of the TSHP Research & Education Foundation Her professional interests are in the areas of pharmacy practice management, mentoring pharmacy students and residents, leadership development, health care policy, alleviation of health disparities, and health literacy & cultural competence.


Jo Ann Maack, R.Ph.

Ms. Maack received her BS in Pharmacy from the University of Houston. She joined the Memorial Hermann System Pharmacy in April 2013.


Joe Owens

Preceptor for portion of Finance rotation including budget and drug inflation factors. Joe received his BBA from The University of North Texas. He joined Memorial Hermann in 2011.


Dehuti Pandya , PharmD, BCPS

Dr. Pandya received her Pharm.D. degree from University of Texas at Austin. She completed a PGY1 Pharmacy Residency at Memorial Hermann Hospital- Texas Medical Center. She joined the clinical pharmacy staff at TIRR Memorial Hermann in 2004.
