As System Executive of Patient Care Support and System Pharmacy at Memorial Hermann, Perry is responsible for strategic positioning and implementation and monitoring of standardization activities for the Departments of Pharmacy, Respiratory Care Services, and Clinical Nutrition. Management responsibilities include reviewing operations, clinical activities, supply chain initiatives, evaluating opportunities with partners, facilitating standardization efforts, and interfacing with external vendors. He serves as an Executive Sponsor for several Clinical Transformation Projects involving Point of Care and Patient Safety Initiatives.

Perry has over 21 years of experience in healthcare, in both for-profit and not-for-profits arenas. His career has included clinical care, management, and consulting for hospitals and health care systems. He has served on regional and national clinical & administrative boards and has presented to professional organizations and providers.

Perry, a Texas native, earned a Bachelor of Science degree in pharmacy from the University of Houston and a Masters degree in pharmacy from the University of Texas at Austin. He has also completed an accredited General Clinical Residency at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas.
Perry and his wife, Melissa, have two daughters, 19 and 17. He is active at his Church and several civic organizations.

Joyce A. Tipton, RPh, MBA, FASHP received her BS Pharmacy degree from the University of Houston College of Pharmacy and a Masters of Business Administration from the Babcock Graduate School of Management at Wake Forest University. Ms. Tipton is currently the Director of Pharmacy and Respiratory Care for Memorial Hermann Memorial City Medical Center in Houston, Texas and is serving a six-year governor's appointment on the Texas State Board of Pharmacy.

Previously Ms. Tipton served as the Administrative Director of Pharmacy at St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital in Houston. Ms. Tipton's career included leadership positions at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center and M. D. Anderson Cancer Center. She also has experience in home infusion, school-based clinic, community pharmacy, and physician practice operations. Ms. Tipton implemented one of the country's earliest Emergency Department pharmacy services in 1995 at WFUBMC and developed the St. Luke's Center for Antimicrobial Stewardship and Epidemiology.

Ms. Tipton is Adjunct Professor at the University of Houston College of Pharmacy and co-chair of the Dean's Advisory Council. She was actively involved in the development of the concurrent MS in Pharmacy Administration and Residency for the UH College of Pharmacy and Texas Medical Center hospitals. Ms. Tipton is a Fellow in the American Society of Health System Pharmacists and a member of the American Pharmacist Association, Texas Society of Health System Pharmacists, Texas Pharmacist Association, American College of Clinical Pharmacists, and American College of Healthcare Executives.

Ms. Tipton has a special interest in the impact of strategic operational planning and systematic quality improvement application in the medication use process.

Rodney Cox currently serves as Pharmacy Operations Manager for Memorial City Memorial Hermann. Rodney is a graduate of Texas Southern University School of Pharmacy, class of 1999, where he currently serves as adjunct faculty. He is the first graduate of Memorial Hermann's PGY1/PGY2 Health-System Pharmacy Administration Residency completed in the spring of 2011. The 2 year residency included didactic work at the University Of Houston College Of Pharmacy where he received his MS in Pharmacy Administration in the summer of 2011. His thesis work there included examining the impact of CPOE on pharmacy productivity.

Previous leadership experience includes time spent as a reservist in the U.S. Army, management roles in the retail sector and current board memberships with non-profit community organizations and PIMA Community College pharmacy technician training program. In 2012 Rodney will also begin serving as President of the Gulf Coast Society of Health System Pharmacy.
