- Knowledge 100 hours (minimal)
- Pre-Clinical 40 hours (Will attend day 2 of Nursing Orientation/Classroom)
- Clinical 80 hours
Requirements for the Refresher Program
The participant must
have a current license/permit to practice nursing in the state of Texas
(if you will be utilizing a temporary permit, do not send for it
until you have been accepted in a program).
The participant must
submit to a TB screen by Memorial Hermann, and meet our requirements.
The participant must
be interviewed minimally by a representative from the Organizational Development
Department, and show the ability to meet the behavior expectations of
Memorial Hermann Healthcare System.

How long will it
take me to complete the program?
Most nurses find that
it takes about three to six months (six months is the maximum time allowed)
to complete the program. Since the program is self-paced, you may find
that you are able to complete it before the end of the six month period.
How much does it
cost?
The cost of the program
is $750. This does not include the cost of the textbooks or uniforms required
for the clinical experience. Payment is due at the beginning of the course.
