Program Overview

Memorial Hermann Hospital System is a one year postgraduate training residency program which consists of rotations throughout a variety of practice areas that are designed to provide the resident with the skills necessary to practice as a clinician in a health system setting.

The program is a collaborative of three community hospitals, Memorial Hermann The Woodlands, Northwest, and Southeast, within Memorial Hermann Health System (MHHS) in the greater Houston area. MMHS is one of the largest health systems in the state of Texas, made up of 12 hospitals. Residency program preceptors, resources, and rotational experiences are shared among the three hospitals of the program to create a comprehensive experience for each of our residents.

*Additional rotations are available that allow for customization of the residency experience to fit the resident’s learning needs.

Benefits

Resident Stipend: $55,000
Vacation: 12 days
Meetings: Financial support is offered to attend the ASHP Midyear Clinical Meeting and the ALCALDE Regional Residency Conference
Health Insurance: Health, dental and vision plans are available
Taxes:   Texas has no state income tax

How to Apply

Pending ASHP Accreditation
Position Available: Three per year
Start Date: July 1

Application:

  • Applications must be submitted through the Pharmacy Online Residency Centralized Application Service (PhORCAS) #218713
  • Application deadline is January 7th
  • All residents must obtain Texas licensure by August 1st
  • On-site interview required
