Join the fun at the “Tune Up for Life” men’s health expo!

Come enjoy rock ‘n roll music while viewing classic cars and the newest vehicles from Legacy Ford in Rosenberg. Grab a free breakfast at the Fueling Station and tune up your body with free health screenings: Oil Check (blood pressure), Chassis (joints, knees, back), Gas Emissions Check (free colorectal cancer kit), plus Scheduled Maintenance of cholesterol, glucose, prostate, heart and more.

18: Pediatric Weight Management Program at Memorial Hermann Southeast- FREE!

The 6-week pediatric weight management program begins on Saturday, Sept. 18. Each weekly session will consist of exciting activities to make your learning experience not only educational but fun! It is important that the participants attend with their parents each Saturday through graduation on Saturday, Oct. 23, during our Annual Family Fall Festival & Health Fair.

21: Girl’s Night Out:  Is it hot in here, or is it just me?

Please join us to take part in a menopause management education program aimed at providing medical information and peer support to women dealing with the physical and psychological impact of menopause, which usually affects women age 40 and beyond.

Join us for our annual Family Fall Festival & Health Fair on Saturday, Oct. 23, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the hospital main parking lot. This FREE event will include:

  • Radio Disney
  • Toys for Tots collection – bring a new, unwrapped toy
  • Health and wellness information
  • Ask the Doctor table
  • Camel rides and petting zoo
  • Doll and Teddy Bear Hospital –children can bring their broken “friends” for “healing”

30: Care 2 Chat About Teen Health
Information, inspiration and insights for teen girls and their moms

National speaker, author and popular psychotherapist Mary Jo Rapini, LPC, will present Bullying…it’s More than Sticks and Stones.  Care 2 Chat is a free, half-day health symposium featuring short, informational talks and inspirational messages. Always a sellout, the event presents teen health topics in a fun and informative way to girls – ages 11-18 – and their mothers or other key women in their lives.

Breast cancer luncheon benefiting the Breast and Bone Center at Memorial Hermann The Woodlands. Funds raised are used to purchase new equipment, to purchase educational materials for breast cancer patients and are used to fund screening mammograms for underserved women in our community. The guest speaker at this year's luncheon is Laura Ingraham, nationally syndicated radio host, political commentator, and New York Times best-selling author and breast cancer survivor. Ms. Ingraham will have a book signing after the luncheon.

2010 Quintessence Breastfeeding Challenge
Join us for this is a fun “competition” to see which geographic area (province, state, territory), has the most breastfeeding babies “latched on” at the same time. It is a great way to promote and celebrate breastfeeding. Locally, Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Hospital is an event challenge site. Join us on Saturday, October 2 at 11 a.m. in the Resource Center Classrooms on the first floor of the hospital (9250 Pinecroft Drive) right next to the Lactation Center and retail shop.
