Dr. Eugene Choo, a Houston native, graduated with a degree in economics from Princeton University and earned his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine. After finishing his fellowship in allergy-immunology at the University of Colorado-National Jewish Health, he remained on the academic faculty of National Jewish Health, where he served as assistant professor in the allergy-immunology division.
Dr. Choo is a Diplomate of the American Board of Allergy and Immunology and the American Board of Internal Medicine. He has lectured and published on numerous diseases, including refractory asthma, allergic rhinitis and tracheobronchomalacia. He is an active member and holds committee positions in the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology and the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology. He has lectured at the national annual meetings for both organizations.
His primary clinical interests include chronic sinusitis, immunodeficiency, food allergy, atopic dermatitis and urticarial (hives). He particularly enjoys working with patients with severe asthma and related diseases.
Dr. Choo is an avid fan of music and Houston sports.
