Dr. Kurt Peters earned a bachelor’s degree from Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he focused on cancer immunology. After earning his medical degree at Oral Roberts, he finished an internship and residency in pediatrics at the University of South Florida College of Medicine in Tampa. He completed fellowship training in allergy and immunology at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.
Board certified in allergy and immunology, Dr. Peters frequently lectures, at both the local and national levels, on asthma-related topics. He has been a member of governing boards of the Southern Medical Association, the Greater Houston Allergy Society and the Texas Allergy Society. He serves as a clinical assistant professor of otorhinolaryngology at the McGovern Medical School at UTHealth in Houston.
Dr. Peters’ practice philosophy is influenced by personal experience, because both he and his children suffer from allergic rhinitis and asthma. As a result, among his greatest strengths as a physician are his empathy, his ability to see the condition from a patient’s point of view, and his dedication to creating practical therapies.
