Dr. Prathyusha Savjani studied biomedical engineering at The University of Texas at Austin and earned her medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. She completed her internship and residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in allergy and immunology, all at Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans.
Board certified in internal medicine and allergy and immunology, Dr. Savjani has been in practice since 2011. Her primary clinical interests are food allergies, urticaria, asthma, immune deficiency, seasonal and environmental allergies, as well as sinusitis, anaphylaxis, eczema, hives, angioedema and asthma. She treats patients of all ages and speaks Telugu.
A member of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology and of the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, Dr. Savjani practices up-to-date, evidence-based medicine. Her practice offers appointments within days or same-day if possible, with multiple locations and varying opening and closing times to allow for early and late visits.
A resident of the Heights, Dr. Savjani is married and the mother of a young son. Her favorite hobbies are traveling, vegetarian cooking and spending time with her family.
