Dr. Robert Saunders completed his pre-medical education at Mississippi State University and earned his medical degree from the University of Mississippi Medical Center. After medical school, he completed his internal medicine training in the U.S. Air Force, including a year as chief resident at Keesler Medical Center in Biloxi, Mississippi. After practicing internal medicine for several years in California, he completed a fellowship in allergy-immunology at the University of California Davis Medical Center.
Board certified in both allergy-immunology and internal medicine, Dr. Saunders has practiced in Houston since 2001. He treats both children and adults.
Dr. Saunders particularly enjoys the patient education process. His goal is for his patients to enjoy the same lifestyle as their non-allergic/asthmatic peers do.
Dr. Saunders retired from the Air Force Reserves in 2007 with the rank of Colonel. He is married and has two daughters and a stepson.
