Dr. Viacheslav Bobovnikov earned his medical degree at Smolensk State Medical University and completed his internship at the Government Regional Hospital in Smolensk, Russia. He completed his general surgery residency at Assaf Harofeh Medical Center in Tel Aviv, Israel, followed by his cardiothoracic surgery fellowship at Rabin Medical Center Campus /Beilinson in Petak-Tivka, Israel. 

Board certified in cardiothoracic and vascular surgery, Dr. Bobovnikov has been in practice since 2003. His clinical interests include cardiac surgery, thoracic surgery, total arterial revascularization for coronary bypass grafting, short-term cardiac assist devices, aortic surgery, trans-catheter valve replacement (TAVR) and advanced techniques for internal mammary artery skeletonization and coronary artery bypass surgery.

Dr. Bobovnikov goal is to provide the highest quality comprehensive care to each patient using the very latest technology and techniques. He treats patients 18 years and older and speaks Russian and Hebrew.

In addition to taking care of patients, Dr. Bobovnikov is an assistant professor of cardiovascular and vascular surgery at McGovern Medical School at University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UT Health). He teaches medical students, residents and fellows. He is a member of the Israel Medical Association, Israel Society for Cardiothoracic Surgery and Israel Heart Society.

When not caring for his patients, he enjoys spending time with his family.
