Dr. Brian Walton earned his medical degree from the University of Kansas Medical School in Kansas City, Kansas, and completed his internal medicine internship and residency at Barnes-Jewish Hospital/Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri. He completed his fellowship in cardiovascular medicine and interventional cardiology at Baylor College of Medicine /Texas Heart Institute in Houston where he served, first as chief cardiology fellow and then as chief interventional fellow.
Board certified in cardiovascular diseases, interventional cardiology and vascular interpretation, Dr. Walton has practiced medicine in Houston since 2005. His clinical interests include general cardiology and
interventional cardiology as well as vascular disease interventions.
Dr. Walton provides individualized and personalized care to each patient. He takes the time needed to explain to each patient his/her condition and treatment options. He makes himself available to his patients; treating each with respect.
The author of book chapters and scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals, Walton is on the faculty of McGovern Medical School at UTHealth in Houston. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology, and a member of The Center for RNAi and non-coding RNA at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.
Dr. Walton and his wife live near the Texas Medical Center. They have two children.
