Dr. Geru Wu earned her medical degree at Xi'an Jiaotong University in China. She completed an internship at the Texas Heart Institute in Houston, a residency at St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, New Jersey, and a fellowship in cardiology at The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston.
Dr. Wu is board certified in internal medicine, cardiology, echocardiography and nuclear cardiology. She is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology, a fellow of the American Society of Echocardiography and a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation. In practice since 1998, she speaks Chinese and sees patients ages 18 and older. Her primary clinical interests are cardiovascular disease, vascular disease and cardiac imaging.
She focuses on providing individualized, patient-centered care. Her patients appreciate her ability to listen and understand their feelings and situations, as well as her knowledge, hands-on experience and desire for continuous learning.
A resident of the Galleria area, Dr. Wu is married and the mother of two children. Her favorite leisure activity is dance.
