Dr. Irfan Iftikhar, MD

Dr. Irfan Iftikhar obtained his medical degree from Dow Medical College in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan. He completed his internship and residency, followed by a year of research in vascular biology, at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. Afterward, he completed his fellowship in general and interventional cardiology at Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois, where he served as chief cardiology fellow.

Board certified in cardiology and interventional cardiology, Dr. Iftikhar has practiced medicine since 1989. He specializes in all aspects of cardiovascular disease and his clinical interests include coronary and peripheral vascular disease management and treatment.

Dr. Iftikhar is dedicated to providing each patient with personal, compassionate care using the latest techniques in cardiovascular care. He offers treatments tailored to each patient and emphasizes prevention. Dr. Iftikhar treats patients 18 years and older and speaks Spanish.

Dr. Iftikhar has been named among the top cardiologists in Houston by H Texas magazine and a ‘Super Doc’ by Texas Monthly magazine. He has written and presented papers at numerous national medical conferences. Houston residents, Dr. Iftikhar and his wife have three sons.
