A native of Indiana, Dr. Lambert completed his medical degree, internship and residency in Internal Medicine and his fellowship training in Cardiology at the Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis. After serving in the military as an Army major and the chief of internal medicine at Fort McPherson Army Hospital in Georgia, Dr. Lambert began his private practice in 1976 in Houston. He has also served as clinical assistant professor, cardiology rotation, at UTHealth Medical School for more than 20 years. His clinical interests include administering echocardiograms (2D), Holter monitor and stress tests, and treating high cholesterol and high blood pressure.
Dr. Lambert has been in practice for nearly 35 years. He enjoys seeing his patients, takes a thoughtful, conservative approach to cardiovascular medicine and is judicious about when to order medical testing. He has served as president of the Houston Cardiology Society, and chief of staff and director of cardiac rehabilitation at Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital. Dr. Lambert is ranked as a Five-Star Doctor by Healthgrades, and in 2009 was awarded Castle Connolly’s America’s Top Doctors® designation by his peers. He is a father of two grown children.
