Dr. Robert Lingle, a native Houstonian, earned his undergraduate degree in biomedical engineering from Vanderbilt University and his medical degree from The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in cardiovascular medicine at McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth), where he served as chief cardiology fellow.
Dr. Lingle, who has been in practice since 2003, is board certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease and a fellow of the American College of Cardiology. His clinical interests include advanced cardiac imaging, preventive cardiology, general cardiology, hypertension management, lipid management and heart failure. He specializes in advanced echocardiography, nuclear cardiology and CT-angiography.
His patients describe him as a knowledgeable and patient physician who has an excellent bedside manner and doesn’t rush through appointments.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Lingle has published several articles in medical journals, the most recent of which helped pave the way for broader use of left ventricular assist devices.
