Dr. Amy Bumgardner, MD

Dr. Amy Bumgardner grew up near Orange, Texas, and graduated from Texas A&M University with an undergraduate degree in biomedical science. She earned her medical degree at McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth), where she graduated at the top of her class and was elected to membership in the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.  She completed an internship at St. Joseph Hospital in Houston and her residency in dermatology at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.

Dr. Bumgardner, who is board certified in dermatology and a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology (FAAD), has practiced since 2007. Her primary clinical interests are medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology. Her patients rate her highly on ease of making appointments, promptness, accuracy of diagnosis and the amount of time she spends with them.

A resident of The Woodlands, Dr. Bumgardner is married and has three children. Away from her practice, she enjoys traveling exercising and watching sporting events – both Aggie and her children’s.
