Dr. Michael Sonabend, MD

Dr. Michael Sonabend earned concurrent medical sciences and medical degrees in an accelerated 7-year medical program at Boston University, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.  He completed his medical internship at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester, Mass., and his residency in dermatology at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, where he was named the most outstanding graduating resident.

Board certified in dermatology, Dr. Sonabend is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology (FAAD). He has been in practice since 2003. His primary clinical interests are laser technology, advances in the treatment of psoriasis, skin cancer treatments including non-surgical approaches, and reversal of photoaging with an emphasis on therapies that have both medical and cosmetic benefits.

Dr. Sonabend is a clinical assistant professor of dermatology at Baylor College of Medicine and is involved in resident teaching. He has published several articles in scientific journals and has participated in clinical research in the areas of lasers and psoriasis.

Dr. Sonabend enjoys spending his leisure time with his wife and two young children.
