Physician Biography

Dr.  Ronda Alexander earned her medical degree at Weill Cornell Medical College of Cornell University in New York, New York. After medical school, she went to the Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New Hyde Park, New York, for her general surgery internship and attended Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Norwood, New York, for her otorhinolaryngology residency. Dr. Alexander then completed her fellowship in laryngology and neuro-laryngology at the Center for Voice & Swallowing Disorders at the New York Head & Neck Institute.
 
Board certified in otolaryngology, Dr. Alexander has practiced medicine since 2008. Her clinical interests include voice disorders, spasmodic dysphonia, Zenker's diverticulum, vocal tremor, vocal cord paralysis, voice changes after surgery of the neck, chest or brain, treatment of medication-resistant migraine headache and tracheal stenosis.
 
Dr. Alexander believes in open and honest communication with each patient. She strives to educate them about their conditions so they can make informed decisions as to their treatment and health. She has special training in the recognition and treatment of neurologic disorders of the voice and head & neck and uses BOTOX® for certain conditions. She treats patients 18 years and older and children in special cases. She speaks Spanish.

Dr. Alexander has been listed as a Top Doctor in Texas Monthly magazine, Top Doctor  in Houstonia magazine and  Best Houston ENT as noted in Living magazine. She is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a Fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngology- Head & Neck Surgery, officer of the Central Branch of the Harris County Medical Society and past president of the Houston Society of Otolaryngology.

In her spare time, Dr. Alexander enjoys playing baseball, bowling and watching movies.
