Dr. Soham Roy earned his undergraduate degree from Stanford University and his medical degree at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri. He completed his residency in otolaryngology at the University of Miami and a fellowship in pediatric otolaryngology at the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh.
Board certified in otolaryngology-head and neck surgery, Dr. Roy is a fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, the American College of Surgeons and the American Academy of Pediatrics. He is a member of the American Society of Pediatric Otolaryngology and the Society for Ear, Nose and Throat Advancements in Children.
Dr. Roy serves as the director of pediatric otolaryngology at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) Medical School.
An internationally recognized speaker and author, Dr. Roy is a recognized expert in operating room safety issues and serves as a consultant in the development of innovative and safer surgical devices.
He has given hundreds of lectures and published numerous scientific articles, book chapters, and national research presentations. He has received multiple awards for teaching, clinical care and original scientific research, and most recently received the 2008 Honor Award from the AAO for his contributions to research and teaching
