After graduating with his Bachelor of Science in chemistry and Bachelor of Science in kinesiology from the University of Texas, Dr. Kendrick Watkins received his medical degree from Ross University in Portsmouth, Dominica, West Indies. He went on to complete his family medicine residency at McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth), where he also completed his fellowship in sports medicine.
Board certified in family medicine and sports medicine, Dr. Watkins treats patients 12 and older for a variety of conditions, both acute and chronic. Some include diabetes, hypertension and arthritis, as well as, concussion management, fractures, sprains, other sports injuries and much more. His clinical interests include preventive medicine, specifically how to prevent injuries when patients embark on new adventures such as running a marathon or trying to achieve a new athletic goal.
Patients in Kingwood and the surrounding communities enjoy his welcoming smile and genuine concern for their wellbeing. Dr. Watkins goal is to help his patients get back to feeling their best and to help teach them the best methods to achieve optimal health.
In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife, trying new restaurants and spending time outdoors.
