Dr. Ramiro Sanchez earned his medical degree at the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara. He completed his internship at University of Costa Rica-affiliated hospitals and his residency in family medicine at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth in Houston.
Board certified in family medicine, Dr. Sanchez has been in practice in Houston since 1993. His primary clinical interests are diabetes, hypertension and hypothyroidism. He treats patients of all ages and speaks Spanish.
Dr. Sanchez has served as a clinical instructor and assistant professor of family medicine at McGovern Medical School and Chief of Family Practice Service at Lyndon B. Johnson General Hospital-UTHealth. He is a member of the American Medical Association, American Academy of Family Physicians, Texas Medical Association, Harris County Medical Society and Houston Academy of Medicine.
Dr. Sanchez describes himself as old-fashioned physician who spends time listening to and examining his patients before resorting to expensive diagnostic testing. His experience, the way he approaches his patients, and his undivided attention ensure that each patient feels treated as an individual.
A resident of downtown Houston, Dr. Sanchez enjoys photography in his leisure time.
