Dr. Shubha Shetty, MD

Shubha Premnath Shetty, MD, earned her medical degree from Shri B. M. Patil Medical College in Bijapur, India. She then completed an internship and residency at Houston Methodist San Jacinto Hospital in Baytown.

Board certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM), Dr. Shetty specializes in chronic disease management such as blood pressure and diabetes (diabetes mellitus) as well as providing physicals, well-woman exams, and acute care to sick patients. She treats patients one year of age and older living in Alief, Houston, Missouri City, Richmond, Stafford, Sugar Land and Thompsons.

Dr. Shetty is a member of the Texas Medical Association (TMA), the Indian Doctors Association (IDA) andthe Houston chapter of the American Association of Physicians of Indian Origin.

Patients enjoy Dr. Shetty’s extended  hours on weekdays and Saturday, her ability to accommodate same-day appointments and next-day appointments. It is important to Dr. Shetty that patients experience short wait-times; therefore she manages a schedule that allows her to be on-time to appointments while leaving her plenty of time to ensure each patient’s comfort. When she is away from her patients, Dr. Shetty enjoys walking, exercising, watching movies and spending time with her husband and two sons. They live in Sugar Land.

She is fluent in Hindi, Kannada and Tulu.
