Dr. Leka Gajula, MD

Dr. Leka Gajula earned her medical degree at Bangalore University in India. She completed her internship and residency in internal medicine at the University of Illinois and a fellowship in gastroenterology at The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston.

Dr. Gajula, who has been in practice in the Houston area since 2000, is board certified in gastroenterology and treats patients ages 18 and older. Her primary clinical interests are general gastroenterology, Crohn's Disease, ulcerative colitis and colonoscopy. She treats stomach, intestine, colon and pancreatic problems, as well as indigestion, heartburn, gas and bloating, irritable bowel disease, constipation, diarrhea, anemia, rectal bleeding, swallowing disorders and hepatitis.   

Her practice philosophy centers on compassionate care combined with results-oriented treatment. Her patients appreciate her bedside manner and thorough knowledge of her specialty.  She is available to schedule weekend appointments. 

A Houston resident, Dr. Gajula enjoys horseback riding, archery and cooking when she is away from her practice.
