Dr. Natarajan Bala, MD

Dr. Nat Bala earned his medical degree at Chengalpattu Medical College in India. He completed his internship and residency and his fellowship in gastroenterology at Cook County Hospital, Chicago, Ill.

Dr Bala is board certified in gastroenterology and internal medicine and a fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP), American College of Gastroenterology (FACG) and American Gastroenterological Association (AGAF). He has been in practice since 1975. His primary clinical interests are endoscopy, hepatitis/hepatitis C and internal medicine.

He is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association, American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation, American Medical Association, Texas Medical Association, Harris County Medical Society and Houston Gastroenterology Association.

Dr. Bala believes that good health is one of the most prized assets any person can have. He finds it truly fulfilling to help people make good health a reality and to reduce pain and suffering in their lives. He understands that each person is unique–including how their GI problems present and how they experience those problems–and it considers it vital to tailor his approach to fit each individual.
