Dr. Scott Armond Larson earned his medical degree at UTHealth San Antonio Medical School and his internal medicine residency at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. He is an assistant professor of medicine in the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth.
Prior to joining McGovern Medical School, Dr. Larson was a faculty member at The University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) at Galveston, where he received his PhD in biomedical sciences and completed a fellowship in gastroenterology.
Dr. Larson is trained in upper endoscopy, colonoscopy, capsule endoscopy, SmartPill™ motility testing, hydrogen breath testing and high-resolution esophageal manometry. He provides comprehensive care for patients with gastrointestinal and liver issues.
Dr. Larson enjoys family activities, traveling, hiking, fishing and gastronomy.
