Dr. Michael Kleinman, MD

Dr. Michael Kleinman earned his medical degree from UT Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, followed by an internship and residency in general surgery at Montefiore Medical Center-Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, New York.

Board certified in general surgery, Dr Kleinman has been in practice in Harris and Fort Bend counties since 1991. His primary clinical interests are surgical oncology, gastric surgery, pancreatic surgery, hepatobiliary surgery (liver, bile ducts and gallbladder), thyroid surgery and parathyroid surgery. He treats patients ages 19 and older and also speaks Spanish.

Dr. Kleinman is involved in all aspects of a patient’s care, not just surgery. His practice utilizes a team approach where more than one surgeon is involved in complex cases. Patients appreciate the unrushed time he spends with them during appointments, his willingness to listen and answer questions and his ability to explain conditions well.

He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the Society of Surgical Oncologists.

A resident of southwest Houston, Dr. Kleinman enjoys cooking and travel during his leisure time.
