A graduate of Clear Lake High School in Houston, Dr. Adrianne Scruggs earned her undergraduate degree in biology and pre-medicine at Xavier University of Louisiana in New Orleans and her medical degree at Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tenn. She completed her internship and residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.
In practice since 2005, Dr. Scruggs is board certified in internal medicine. As an internist, she treats allergies, immunological conditions, heart diseases, hormone disorders, blood disorders, infectious diseases, gastroenterological diseases, kidney diseases, cancer, lung disorders, arthritis and musculoskeletal diseases.
Dr. Scruggs’ practice philosophy is based on connecting one-on-one with her patients, providing evidence-based care and keeping abreast of the latest medical advancements. She is adept at managing complex medical conditions and utilizing lifestyle medicine to help prevent, treat and reverse disease.
She is a member of the American College of Physicians, Texas Medical Association and American College of Lifestyle Medicine.
Dr. Scruggs, who is married to a cardiologist, is the mother of two children. In her spare time, she enjoys serving the community through the Mary Susan Moore Medical Society, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority and Jack and Jill of America.
