Dr. Giao Ngoc Hoang graduated from the Saigon Facility of Medicine in
Vietnam and completed his residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in Hartford,
Connecticut. He served as an assistant clinical professor of medicine and community
medicine at the University of Connecticut and won a humanitarian award for his
work with Indochinese refugees in 1979.
Board certified in internal medicine, Dr. Hoang’s major
clinical interests are geriatrics and disability evaluation. Having practiced in Vietnam for nine years
and the U.S. for 34 years, he is fluent in Vietnamese, French and English and
has distinguished himself in providing culturally sensitive care to the
His patients, who are 16 years and older, value his professional
experience and plain talk, and benefit from his emphasis on preventive care and
the importance of maintaining and improving health throughout a lifetime.
Dr. Hoang, a resident of the Galleria area, is married and
has three sons. In his leisure time, he
enjoys photography and travel.
