Dr. Munir Loya, MD

Dr. Munir Loya earned his medical degree at Dow Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan. He completed his internship at Marshal University in Huntington, West Virginia, and his residency at St. Luke’s Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.

Dr. Loya, who is board certified in internal medicine, has been in practice in the Houston area since 2004. He treats adult patients (18 years and older) and speaks Urdu and Gujarati. His primary clinical interests are acute illnesses (flu, bronchitis, headache, pain, rashes, migraine, allergic reactions, sore throat); chronic illnesses (heart disease, high cholesterol, kidney disease, coronary artery disease, hypertension, asthma, gastroesophageal reflux disease, diabetes, urinary infections). He also provides a full range of procedure-related services: electrocardiogram (EKG), echo cardiogram, cardiovascular stress testing, carotid duplex scan, Doppler studies, electromyogram (EMG), nerve conduction studies, bone density testing and immunizations.

He is a fellow of the American College of Physicians and a clinical professor at Baylor College of Medicine. His patients value the compassionate care they receive and Dr. Loya’s extensive and diverse expertise.

A resident of Houston, Dr. Loya is married and the father of three children. Away from his practice, he enjoys swimming, traveling and camping.
