Dr. Suman Ravuri, MD

Dr. Suman Ravuri earned her medical degree from Siddhartha Medical College in India and completed her residency at St. Barnabas Hospital, Bronx, New York.

In practice since 1999, she began her career as full-time hospitalist and transitioned after 11 years to primary care, which allowed her to develop longer-term relationships with her patients. Her primary clinical interests are internal medicine, general primary care and preventive medicine. She treats anemia, arthritis, asthma, diabetes, heart failure, hyperlipidemia (abnormally high concentration of fats or lipids in the blood), hypertension (high blood pressure), kidney-related disease, obesity and renal failure.

Dr. Ravuri finds great satisfaction in understanding the different, complex situations she encounters with her patients and helping them find solutions. Her patients rate her highly on the accuracy of her diagnoses, bedside manner and follow-up. She is a member of the Society of Hospital Medicine.

A resident of Sugar Land, Dr. Ravuri is married and the mother of three sons.
