Dr. Hussein Yamani earned his undergraduate degree from The University of Texas at Austin and his medical degree from The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth), followed by a fellowship in cardiology at UTMB and DeBakey Heart and Vascular Center. He completed a second fellowship in interventional cardiology at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City.
In practice since 2004, Dr. Yamani is board certified in both cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology. His primary clinical interests are the treatment of coronary and peripheral artery disease, congestive heart failure, arrhythmia, valvular heart disease, hypertension and hyperlipidemia. He has special training and experience in stress testing, echocardiography, vascular imaging, nuclear imaging, cardiac CT and MRI, and treatment of venous disease. He performs coronary angiograms and interventions, peripheral angiograms, venous ablation, transesophageal echocardiograms and cardioversions.
Dr. Yamani’s practice philosophy is based on understanding that individual patients are unique, and he encourages them to be actively involved in their care.
A resident of The Woodlands, Dr. Yamani is married and the father of three children. In his leisure time, he enjoys traveling and spending time with his family in the outdoors.
