Dr. Stefano Sdringola-Maranga, MD

Dr. Stefano Sdringola-Maranga earned his medical degree from the University of Perugia in Italy and a master’s degree in healthcare administration at Texas Women’s University in Houston. He completed his residency and a fellowship in interventional cardiology at McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth).

Dr. Sdringola-Maranga is board certified in internal medicine, cardiology and interventional cardiology. He is also a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions. In practice since 1990, he specializes in cardiovascular disease, interventional cardiology and nuclear cardiology. Dr. Sdringola-Maranga is also fluent in Spanish, French and Italian.

He has extensive experience in treatment of acute coronary syndromes, comprehensive management of coronary atherosclerosis (CAD), prevention of revascularization procedures and regression of atherosclerosis. He is also experienced in nuclear imaging and positron emission tomography (PET) for accurate assessment and management of CAD.

Outside of his clinical practice, Dr. Sdringola-Maranga is actively involved in providing free community lectures and other educational activities aimed at the prevention and regression of atherosclerosis.
