Dr. Aleksandra De Golovine earned her medical degree at Saint Louis University in St. Louis, Missouri. She completed a residency in internal medicine at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston and a fellowship in nephrology at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) Medical School.
Board certified in both nephrology and internal medicine, Dr. De Golovine’s primary clinical interest is transplant nephrology, with a research interest in chronic allograft failure. She also serves as an assistant professor-renal diseases and hypertension at the McGovern Medical School at UTHealth. She has been recognized with the UTHealth Dean’s Teaching Excellence Award in 2012 and 2013 and was named Renal Fellow of the Year Award in 2011 by the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center.
In practice since 2005, Dr. De Golovine treats patients 18 years and older and speaks Polish. Her practice philosophy is to take the best possible care of each individual patient she sees, giving them the utmost respect and always addressing their individual needs. She believes that the well-being of individual patients is her priority, and they appreciate the fact that she always takes time to listen to them.
A resident of the Texas Medical Center area, Dr. De Golovine is married and enjoys reading, bike riding and traveling in her leisure time.
