Dr. Avni Kapadia is a board-certified neurologist. A graduate of Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, Dr. Kapadia received her medical degree from Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine in Bryan. She completed her residency in neurology at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, then completed her neurocritical care fellowship at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Md. She also completed a healthcare policy fellowship at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services in the Clinical Standards and Quality Center, also in Baltimore, focusing on value-based healthcare delivery.
Dr. Kapadia is an active member of the American Academy of Neurology, the Society of Critical Care Medicine and the Neurocritical Care Society. She serves on the Neurocritical Care Society Membership Committee and serves or has served on several advisory committees. In addition, she has given multiple oral and poster presentations and co-authored a book chapter on subarachnoid hemorrhage.
