Dr. Edward Escobar is certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Neurology and Psychiatry and has additional training and expertise in electroencephalography, electromyography, interventional therapy with neurotoxin injection, vagal nerve stimulation and intrathecal baclofen treatment for spasticity.
Dr. Escobar received his Doctor of Osteopathy degree at the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth. He completed the first year of his neurology residency at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, and finished his last two years in neurology at the University of Kentucky/Chandler Medical Center in Lexington, where he was chief resident.
Prior to joining Mischer Neuroscience Associates, Dr. Escobar was in private practice for 15 years. During that time, he treated patients in Lexington, Kentucky; Corpus Christi, Texas; and Houston, Texas. He served as director of the Stroke Department at West Houston Medical Center from 2005 to 2009, and at Houston Northwest Medical Center from 2012 to 2016.
