What Are Neurophysiologists?
Neurophysiologists are physicians with a sub-specialty in conduction testing to help diagnose diseases of the nervous system by studying their electrical functioning. They record and study bioelectrical activity of the brain, spinal cord, nerves and muscles to diagnose conditions including neuromuscular disorders, sleep disorders, epilepsy, dementia, and multiple sclerosis, etc. All our neurophysiologists are board-certified or board-eligible physicians and have completed medical school and residency training which could include multiple specialties such as internal medicine, adult or pediatric neurology. They will then complete a clinical neurophysiology fellowship.
