Dr. Iyabode Ogunlade, MD

Dr. Iyabode Ogunlade, who was born in Lagos, Nigeria, graduated with honors from Binghamton University in New York with a bachelor’s degree in psychobiology. She completed her medical education at the New York University School of Medicine in Manhattan, during which she was a volunteer at Bellevue Hospital during 911 in 2001. She did her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.

Board certified in obstetrics and gynecology, Dr. Ogunlade has special clinical interests in high-risk obstetrics, general gynecology, urogynecology with management of urinary incontinence, infertility treatment and health maintenance. She has had special training in minimally invasive surgery, including robot-assisted procedures. She strives to decrease post-operative pain and shorten recovery times for her surgery patients.

Before moving to Houston, Dr. Ogunlade practiced in the Bryan-College Station area, where she also served as an assistant clinical professor at Texas A&M University and volunteered at the Prenatal Clinic, a non-profit facility that provides care for medically indigent women.

Dr. Ogunladelives in north Houston. She is married and has a daughter. In her leisure time, she enjoys traveling, cooking, running and watching the latest movies. She and her family are active in community activities and their church.
