Dr. Kanayo Ubesie Sr, MD

Dr. Kanayo Ubesie earned his medical degree at UT Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. He completed his internship and residency at Drexel University’s Hahnemann Medical College in Philadelphia.

In practice since 1988, Dr. Ubesie is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology. His primary clinical interests are adolescents; counseling; birth control and contraception; infertility and reproductive medicine; endometriosis; high-risk obstetrics; menopause; and premenstrual syndrome. He delivers care for low-risk, high-risk and teenaged pregnancies and provides minor and major gynecological surgeries, routine gynecological care and family planning.

He treats patients 12 years old and older and speaks Spanish and Igbo. In his family-centered practice, each patient is actively involved with her family in decision-making and care plans, which are based on thorough evaluation, review of findings and appropriate recommendations. He has been taking care of some families for more than two decades.

Dr. Ubesie is a member of the American Medical Association, American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, Texas Medical Association and Nigeria Medical Council.
