After earning her Bachelor of Science from Baylor University in Waco, Dr. Maria Torres-Gavvala received her medical degree and graduated with honors from the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) at Galveston.
She went on to complete her obstetrics and gynecology residency at Mercy Hospital and Medical Center in Chicago.
Board certified in obstetrics and gynecology, Dr. Torres-Gavvala specializes in women’s high-risk pregnancies, infertility evaluation and therapies for urinary incontinence. Additionally, she cares for patients with hormone replacement after menopause, infertility, irregular menstrual cycle, osteoporosis, papanicolaou test (pap smear) abnormalities, pelvic floor dysfunction, premenstrual syndrome (PMS), sexual dysfunction, urinary tract infection (UTI) and vaginal or pelvic pain or infection. She also has completed training in minimally invasive robotic surgical techniques.
