Dr. Nana-Ama Bentum earned her medical degree at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. She completed her internship and residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Alabama-Birmingham School of Medicine and a fellowship in maternal-fetal medicine at McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth).
Dr. Bentum has been in practice since 2010 and is board certified in both obstetrics and gynecology and maternal-fetal medicine. Her primary clinical interests include high risk-pregnancy and hypertension in pregnancy. She treats complicated pregnancies in women of any age and speaks Spanish.
Her practice philosophy centers on personalized medicine, and she is committed to providing the highest quality women’s health care in a compassionate and supportive environment.
Dr. Bentum is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the Society for Maternal Fetal Medicine. She also serves as an assistant professor of obstetrics at McGovern Medical School.
