Dr. William Quayle Jr, MD

Dr. William Quayle earned his undergraduate degree in psychology at Yale University and a master’s in microbiology and his medical degree at the University of Missouri. He completed his internship at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston and his ophthalmology residency at UT Health San Antonio Medical School.

Board certified in ophthalmology, Dr. Quayle opened his first practice in 1977. As a general surgeon, he performs cataract, eyelid, glaucoma and LASIK surgery. Dr. Quayle displays a high level of care and concern for patients, understanding their needs and answering their questions.

Dr. Quayle has served on the faculty of The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, where he participated in fellowship training and mentored many ophthalmologists on technique. He participated in research studies that led to FDA approval of laser vision correction, and his surgical and teaching experiences have enhanced his appreciation of the subtle intricacies of LASIK laser vision correction, which are reflected in his track record of positive outcomes.
