Dr. Brian Chimenti, MD

Brian T. Chimenti, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who has received certification of additional qualification in sports medicine by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery.

Born in Houston, Dr. Chimenti graduated magna cum laude from Clear Lake High School. He received his bachelor's degree from The University of Texas at Austin with high honors, earned his medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, and completed his residency at The University of Colorado - Denver. He performed orthopedic and sports medicine training with team physicians from the Denver Broncos, Colorado Rockies, and The University of Colorado Buffalos. He has served as team physician for numerous high schools from 1994 to present.

Dr. Chimenti’s practice encompasses all aspects of orthopedics, but specializes in arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder and knee and related sports medicine injuries. He also has a strong interest and commitment to knee and hip replacement/reconstruction. He stays on the cutting edge of this technology. Chairman of the department of Orthopedic Surgery for Memorial Hermann The Woodlands Hospital, Dr. Chimenti also serves as co-medical director of the Memorial Hermann Joint Center at Memorial Hermann The Woodlands and was instrumental in its development and success.

Dr. Chimenti has been recognized as Texas Super Doctor by Texas Monthly as well as nominated for Physician of the Year at Memorial Hermann. He has received numerous Patient's Choice Awards and Compassionate Doctor Awards as well as Top 10 Doctor Award for both city (Spring) and state (Texas) as well as the Greater Houston metro area. Other honors include being listed as a Doctor of Excellence, Top Doctor, Top Sports Medicine Specialist, one of America's Top Orthopedists, and Best of The Woodlands in orthopedic surgery in various publications.
