Physician Biography

Born in Houston and raised in New York City, Dr. George C. Ozoude earned his medical degree and completed residency training in orthopedics at the University of Illinois-Chicago Medical School.

He returned to Houston to complete a fellowship in sports medicine at Baylor College of Medicine and The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth) Medical School.

Board certified in orthopedic medicine, Dr. Ozoude’s clinical interests include sports medicine, minimally invasive arthroscopy, anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction, meniscal repair and articular cartilage  as well as  multi-ligament knee injuries and general orthopedic conditions.

Dr. Ozoude is an assistant professor of orthopedic surgery at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth. He has served as assistant team physician to the Houston Texans, Houston Rockets, Houston Astros, Houston Dynamo and the University of Houston Cougars. He also served as team physician for the St. Thomas High School Eagles and assisted with the care of athletes from Houston Baptist University and St. Thomas University. During his residency in Chicago, he provided orthopedic coverage to several high schools, NCAA Division I athletics, the WNBA and the Joffrey Ballet Company.

Dr. Ozoude brings a solid foundation in orthopedics and sports medicine to his patients.
