Dr. Neil Badlani graduated summa cum laude from George Washington University and received his MD and MBA at the University of Pittsburgh. He completed his residency training in orthopedic surgery at the University of California in San Diego followed by fellowships in both pediatric and adult spine surgery at Rush Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois.
Board certified in orthopedic surgery, Dr. Badlani has been in practice in Houston since 2011.. He treats patients of all ages who need orthopedic spine surgery using minimally invasive cutting-edge techniques and robotics.
Dr. Badlani takes a conservative and comprehensive approach in treating spine, back and neck pain as well as complicated spinal disorders such as scoliosis. He focuses first on non-operative treatments. His surgical emphasis is on minimally invasive and motion-sparing techniques including disc replacement. His patient philosophy is to care for each patient with compassion and empathy with the goal of improving their quality of life.
He has written several book chapters about spine surgery including cervical laminoplasty and minimally invasive lumbar fusion and reviews articles for The Spine Journal. He also has received national and international recognition for his research. He was named one of the top spine surgeon’s in the country under 40 by Becker’s Spine in 2014. He also has been featured on KHOU 11, KPRC Local 2, KRIV Fox 26 and the Houston Chronicle for minimally invasive and robotic spine surgery.
Residents of the Memorial area, Dr. Badlani and his wife have two daughters. In his spare time, he likes to explore Houston and is always looking for suggestions for a good restaurant. He enjoys spending time with his family most of all.
