Dr. Zoran Cupic earned his medical degree from Catholic University of Louvain in Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium. He completed his general surgery internship at United Hospital in Port Chester, New York, and his orthopedic surgery residency at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He went on to complete a joint replacement fellowship, with a specialization in total hip replacement, at Wrightington Hospital in Lancashire, England.
Board certified in orthopedic surgery, Dr. Cupic has practiced medicine in Houston since 1974. He specializes in general orthopedics with an emphasis on arthroplasty of the hip.
The author of numerous articles for professional medical journals, Dr. Cupic has lectured and demonstrated hip replacement surgery throughout the world. He has served as chief of surgery and chairman of orthopedics at Memorial Hermann Memorial City Medical Center. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery, Texas Medical Society, Texas Orthopaedic Association and Harris County Medical Society.
Dr. Cupic and his wife have five adult children. He has been involved in the Spring Branch School District Sports Association and is a long-time physician volunteer at high school football games.
